Today I want to share a couple of great animation apps with you. Here is the first. Memovy, by our good friend Lucas Zanotto turns your pictures into moving memories. Well worth a look and as this video demonstrates it can be used to construct some very interesting animation.

Senseless Drawing Bot

Robots haven’t gone quiet as far as people imagined in the 1950’s. We still don’t have robot butlers and hover boards. But who needs them when you have the Senseless Drawing Bot created by So Kanno and Takahiro Yamaguchi. Simply watching this machine create these beautiful organic patterns is a joy.

75 years ago today muppet legend Jim Henson was born. In honour of this Google has created a muppet themed Doodle. It’s a nice example of interactive character animation using HTML5 (if your into that sort of thing). Here is a sprite sheet for the G muppets animation. See it in action at google
