When the BBC Sport team approached us to animate this iconic award—with a little help from TV star Paddy McGuinness—we were all in.
The aim was to captivate the audience, whilst celebrating the rich history of the award. We paid meticulous attention to detail in lip-syncing and expressive body language to heighten the trophy’s lively personality, topped with an engaging voiceover by Paddy McGuinness, who rolls through a cheeky history of the award’s winners and losers.
Working closely with the BBC, we were involved throughout the creative process, from concept development and storyboarding to character design, animation production and voiceover direction.
Using state-of-the-art 3D animation software and techniques to achieve a high level of realism and visual appeal, the team employed advanced rendering technologies, lighting setups and particle effects to enhance the aesthetic quality of the animation.
Our team directed the recording sessions with the one and only Paddy McGuinness to capture the cheeky and humorous tone of the narrative. We were delighted to hear that the animation made a splash with the audience at the opening ceremony!
We’d love to hear from you.
